I suppose it's something you can do with a watercooled bike. I've always wondered why bikes weren't build like this from the beginning... I suppose the reason being that it's next to impossible to cool the exhaust valves if they're behind the airstream.

what would be the advantage of putting the inlet/exhaust the other way around? the fuel tank would be in the middle so better weight distribution anything else?

Cannondale (Mtn Bike maker?) made an engine with this layout a while ago. I don't think they made very many before going bust.

It's not a new idea.... Nothing is really, it's all been tried brfore. Some guys used to turn the heads around on their triumphs also.

Nothing new with this design. The Cannondale Bicycle Company branched out into motorcycles and produced a MXer in 1999 with EFI from the front and a rear exhaust plus other features. The company went bust in 2003 and was bought by ATK. ATK now sell an upgraded version of the original design.

Looks good, yamaha have done the reverse cylinder before with reasonable success, on their TZR250 3MA motor for all you 2stroke fans.
thou it is a road bike haha.

looking at the pic they have got the exhaust sorted by throwing a small loop in just to get the length.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.
