we learnt to like make sure that the guys arrowing know what they are doing!. Hi vis arrows are now a must!!, Bunting off corners etc about 5 -10 metres after a corner(change of direction) so that those who can't stop don't cut the bunting and therefore make a track for others to follow. We wll review this and only get better.

Yes, we had a few that for one reason or another took the wrong path and I don't think they did this on purpose. It was our fault and we soon remedied any short cuts at the beginning of the second lap.

It was a huge ask and generally we had 95% positive feed back.

The next rounds will be easier to follow as there are not so many original criss cross tracks that can confuse folks.

There will be no short cuts in round two.

Anyway thanks to all that entered. I'm buggered
yeh mint day mate even if I an 4 others got lost up a wrong track!!!! Stopped when we got to a fence. Others must have gone there as we where following their wheel tracks. Wouldn't have made much difference to us though!!

Great event Ktm boy freckin excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good effort!!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

    Follow the arrows my son.
I know where this is and it probably cost you 30 seconds per lap. Only about 5 riders took this option as it was well off the race line. You have to ride with your head up all the time, lookin lookin lookin, all the time.

Sorry for sounding like Great Uncle Bulgaria from the wombles, just trying to impart my limited knowledge.

Mixed bag for me, rode like a sloth & couldn't get decent concentration happening. I scoffed No-doz before race hoping it'd wake me up and sharpen focus didn't seem to work very well. Maybe a bit too wired. Got a good start, but tucked the front end on a corner not long after & lost a whole bunch of places. On the other hand it was really satisfying doing the solo class, got 5 laps in without the expected major leg cramps. Last lap a real battle though. (FlyingCR I've had to do those 'leap out the car, cramp dances' more often than I'd like , very friggen painful. Try stretching a bit before getting into car. Seems to help get rid of some lactic acid)

A big thankyou to KTMboy & crew (Grant from Spectrum in there too I think?) for all the work that went into making it all happen. I thought event went extremely well. I was a bit iffy about the short start straight & first corner, but it seemed to work nicely. Not enough time to get high speed but enough space to jockey into positions.
At briefing your heads-up on the course sections to watch out for was absolutely spot on. I'm sure you saved a few bods from some unwanted soil sampling. A mate reckoned he spent 10 minutes stuck in right hand side of that bog!

PS hard to mark a course on area that gets ridden a fair bit. Lots of different 'old' trails in same spot & only takes a few riders take a slight different line that can end up a fair way off real track.

    Talking Fantastic

Bloody Great event. Tony :2humbsupand thanks to all the guys that helped to put it on. Reckon you did a fantastic job but you need one of these
Sorry Oldskool just couldn't wait any longer and there was no way I would have survived the ironman!
Thanks Clmintie for helping out. ( Specially for moving that post. Got a bit stuck there with the size rig we got.) Looking forward to those pics and good to see the shoulder getting better. Kids couldn't stop speaking about it all the way home in the car! by the end they convinced themselves they had won everything!
Thanks for the pit tent Aaron and all the KB crew that made it a great day. See ya all in about a months time. Or at the sandpit for some training!

BTW where the hell was that rut Jt119 went through. Was he in a different race?
Agree with earlier comments 'bout guys taking short cuts same as Cheese - had a couple guys I over took only to have to do it over again because they got in front of me by cutting great bits of the corners/track out - bloody annoying. Anyway doesn't detract from an awesome day.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

im sure if you wemt straight ahead after the bog instead of turning right you would have found it big short cut that would have cut out that whole toi toi bush section guess you would have saved time as long as you didnt get stuck looks deep.
