    Damn the recession

well 09 has sucked so far. Alot of shit has happened this year but to top it off I was made redundant yesterday.

So I am thinking that I will be spending my time job hunting and riding my bike in the arvo and it turns out I was unemployed for about 17 hours securing a job today with the added bonus of an extra $3 per hour.

Its a temp position so still on the outlook for a full time job but it gets over another hurdle for a short time.

Sucks! Sorry to hear that mate. Afternoon bike riding sounds ok in the short term though

Hopefully something will turn up soon for you.

getting laid off was one of the best thing thats happened considering the relationship with my empolyer. TBH with the CVs and contacts I have been catching up on that is nearly a full time job in itself.

New job is managing a farm while owners are going away for a month or so, so that is just more contacts and more refs that could turn into something.

I will keep myself open if anyone wants to hire me as a kawasaki test rider.

That sucks about the job Lance - there seems to be a lot of that lately. But hopefully you can find yourself another job ok.

At least you've got yourself a temp job to keep you going for a while. I'm actually working on a Dairy farm for 5 months to do something different after loosing my job. I'm really enjoying doing some physical work after keeping an office chair warm for 3 years .

Sorry to hear mate, but sounds like yr better off (sorta) without them the way they were treatin ya !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

I was laid off a week ago today, glad I'm outa there to be honest. You just have to look at it as another door opening. If your willing to work, and it sounds like your are, something will come up, just a matter of time. Chin up.

errr. no. that would be a 3.0L hilux. he he. mint. Although I went out to the farm today and the road out there I might just have to commute on the bike by choice cause it is mint. 2k of gravel at the end of it though which is not mint.
