    WTB xt600 motor

Well it seems the XT has finally died..........so I'm on the hunt for another complete motor or top end.
If any body has one kicking about in the back of the shed or knows where one is, let me know, whole bikes also considered

Same motor though, but I/we aren't paying that much for a new motor if we can help it, remember, the DR's in bits too

Yip, that was probly the start,

Essentially the bike ran out of oil, but she topped it up before leaving home.I was riding the bike to work on monday when it completely died, there was oil on the dipstick in the reservoir, but none in the motor.
It's a real dog to get the oil level right on.
I will be going to see Baz Bikes tomorrow to get them to explain why they used a non standard head gasket and punched holes in it to get it to fit, also to show them the results of thier shit job.
    FAAAAAARK, I'm pissed off

Also open to sensible suggestions of other options.I could probly get a GSXR750 motor but it would make her bike faster than mine and thats not an option really

    The CT motor would fit.
With that tank it'd have a 2000km range too...

Bloody hell mate, they SO should be sortin their mess out for you!

Sorry to hear the news and fingers crossed it can get sorted!

BTW, Arrowrider's '89 DR Big is coming to live in Wellywood!
Should be here in a couple of weeks! My mate Phil has bought it after convincing me to let him have it instead of me! I have frst refusal if he ever dares to sell it tho! The bike should suit him really well as he's a big strong bloke with the balls to ride it as it should be ridden!
Will get him out adv-ing asap!!!!!!!
    Cheers, Dave

    Arse.

XTs seem to have awkward issues. Quite a few RTW travelers on XTs have had similar ongoing grief with them.
    Cheers,
    Colin
