I'd say he'd now be a realistic contender for the 2010 Dakar title, unless one of the big KTM boys switch manufacturers and sorts out a 450 ride.

That predakar vid is absolutely awesome. Had guest appearances from Pablo Escaban, Linda McCartney, the French foreign legion & Joe the Camel ciggies mascot.

Amazing how images you watch as a kid are so strong & vivid. I remember watching bits like this back in the day - like the old Gran prix shots they seem to carry more 'style' than now.

Great to see the old Lada looking cool as the 404 utes & 504 fat f's.

Coupla questions. The bike the guy was riding in superman pose had a BM PD tank but didn't look like one -was it? Also the station wagon was a renault?
