So you reccomend the "Rice" look, if you where talking about cars theres nothing like to look of a carbon GT wing on a honda that aerodynamicly is on par with a brick (severe sarcasm)

The full tyga look is growing on me after I just browsed through the forum and came across NSR Dans projects, the look is awsome to me bar the headlights.

Ok so far minimal progress, Ive removed the upper fairings and tank but thats about as far as I can go with very basic tools, will have another hack at the bike tomoro the plan is to completely strip the bike into small enough peices and then play a game of tetris and pack all the parts into a mitsi mirage coupe to take them to kaitaia for my holiday.
Im hopen to get most of the bits done with in the next 3 weeks, this involves painting the frame deciding weather to use por15, powdercoat the rims, paint fairings + tank and some minor engine work such as port matching.

Now I just have to find a mate with tools whos willing to help me tomoro

Pics to come once I find a quality camera to use rather than my phone.

Hay mate mine is a MC18 with 21 fairings they bolt up perfictly, anything is possable if you have the time and maby some skill so I say go ahead and find a set of fairings you like maby a cbr tail and 21/18 front and have a go.

My bike is due for paint next week, I managed with help from a mate to pack the whole bike into the cage and take it up north with me for my holiday project.

Ok due to the poor weather (lazyness) in the far F'n north I didnt get any work done on the nsr whilst on holiday.
Now im back in the waikato painting has commenced and im getting quite excited, at the moment the frame, swing arm and magtec rims are being primerd with alloy etch, we are doing a few coats of primer with sanding in between to remove some of the flaws but unfortunitly nothing will be any more than average as far as paint goes.
I hope that with in the next fortnight the frame will be done and I can start to peice it back together, but I expect delays as I need to buy new headstock bearings, a housing gasket and maby a repalcement intake manifold as mine looks to be perishing.

I have been taking pictures but unfortunitly they are piss poor quality, I will have to source a digital camera to doccument the rest of the build.

Almost four months later and finally progress!!!
I have now got everything bar the fairings and tank ready to be sprayed, the frame, swing arm and headstock go into the paint booth on sunday for a acathyne coating of saturn black, the magtec rims get painted at the same time but in gloss black.
Currently preping the fairings doing fiberglass repairs and also panelbeating the tank as I droped it whilst sanding it for painting
I will get shit for it but the fairings and tank will be painted in new holden green, it it a bright paint with a heavy perl(was free so I dont care)

Will take lots of picks as soon as I can claim a digital camera to use.

Anyone is welcome to comment but lol

I agree with you mate I would love to go back to the origional black racing theme it had but Ive just lost so much motivation now that I want it done so I can ride it, summer will be over before I kno it and im not ready for the disapointment of missing good riding weather.

Ok its a week late but the frame and wheels are painted, the frame is quite glossy but im still happy with the result, I will now begin to re-assemble the bike over the next two weeks at the same time preping the tank and fairings.

I have some low quality photos of the parts in the booth, it was around the 4 hour mark to epoxy, primer and paint the parts so it was wet to wet spraying.

Cheers to my mate David for pulling a late night to get it done he deserves the 15 box of stinies my cheap ass bought him

Also my phone is now black from overspray and maby I should of worn a mask
