    Bike prices

I am hopefully moving the NZ next year and I am trying to decide whether or not to take my bike with me or to buy one when I get there.

Can someone point me in the right direction for a site advertising used bikes. In particular I am interested in a SV650 or SV1000, I've searched but not had much luck, not even found one advertised so far, so I am guessing I am looking in the wrong places

Plenty of bikes on our local NZ Auction Website www.trademe.co.nz

    Another site is www.bikepoint.co.nz

SV's are cheap, well come to think of it, all Suzuki's are cheap and thats why I've got one.
Im not the Ghost Rider, he rides too slow.

thanks, looks like it is probably cheaper and easier to buy another over there. At the moment I have a sv650, does anyone know if a givi rack from a 650 would fit a 1000? there is the obvious difference of twin exhausts,

Much cheaper for Jap and some SHAMErican bikes Moggie, but you pay at least the same if not more for European models.

    SV1000s

The SV1000s is currently going for $13999 if I remember correctly. That is an 04 I think. Nice bikes, can't go wrong.

Buy one here. The SV is much cheaper here than the UK anyway. Also you have the dramma of 3 months to get it here and all the crap with paying freight, GST. Even if you do that then you will get pissed off when you deal with MAF/Customs. Trust me I just landed mine from the Uk and have just managed to get it all sorted and on the road. Much better to arrive with cash and go riding straight away. My bike was a beamer so it was worth it value wise (also sentimental). WOuld I do it again - after what I know now NO!!!

And would do it again, but only for the right bike.
NTVs are rare here (20 in the country) so getting a goody from the UK (also a rare beast, but on the quality issue only) was the only viable option.

I'm also bringing in a car right now, and the shipping time is only 4 weeks.
Reality is an illusion encouraged by consensus.
