    Scooter riders need lessons...

    ...on how to park

Went to go see Terminator at chartwell just now. Go to park and its busy as hell no parks. Until i see one at the end of the carpark lap. Well so i think as there is a damn scooter taking up an entire car park This wouldn't normally make me angry they have to park as well but seen as the 10 space motorcycle park (which is the first thing you see when entering this level of parking) was empty i couldn't help but wonder what the hell was going through the mind of this person. Damn thing was still there 2 hours later at the end of the movie and the motorcycle park was still empty. Imagine if i had parked the cage in the motorcycle park! All hell would have broken loose and the world might just have imploded. Rant over.

Got to the motorbike park on oriental bay wellington, had arranged to meet a couple of people there to go off for a ride, found a car sitting in the space taking the whole thing up.

Fortunately the people were still in it.

Just pulled up facing the drivers door and beeped a couple of times.

They moved and didn't make a fuss. Job done.

Just to be devil's advocate for a minute.

Maybe all the bike spaces were full when the scooter rider parked? It may have even been an errent cager.

What happens when theres no bike parks to be seen. Theres no law saying that you can't park in a parking space. But most bike parks are free (correct if wrong) so its better to park there anyway.

Well obviously if there is no bike parking then its ok but this person rode past an empty motorcycle parking space(i've seen about 3 bikes max in that park and i used to work in this shopping centre for 2 years)

Now that that's clear I totally agree. While not technically incorrect it's very inconsiderate to not use designated spaces when they're available.

It is normal for one vehicle to be in that space ... and one vehicle was in that space ...

I parked my bike in that park once, came out and I was so surrounded by scroters that I was worried about knocking one over while getting my bike out. It was almost comical, didn't have my phone or I'd have taken a pic. Do these things breed or is there something near by that attracts scroter riders? Oh shit there goes another one.

A lot of them also need lessons about what to wear while riding... the amount I see in shorts, t shirts and jandals.

What did you think of Terminator, sil3ntwar? I saw it last night.... in quite a different style to the first 3, but I still thought it was pretty cool.

I was not expecting much but i did enjoy it. (maybe spoiler time?) I love the giant machine that comes after them soon after they get the car. A million times better than Transformers i hope the 2nd one is better than the pile of shit first one.
