    Unhappy Bandit won't start

My bandit wont start!! Last week it wouldn't even turn over and just started clicking ans shit, so diagnosed the problem and it was the battery. So put a brand new battery in and for the next 3-4 starts was fine, cranked straight over.. Go to start it around lunchtime today, so not too cold, and would turn over but didnt really have enough power to fire, so I had to resort to the old "race start" method - run along the road and bump start it haha

So... I have come to the conclusion that it could be the alternator (if the bandits have one ??) would you agree?? Any other suggestions as to what it could be?? And how to go about fixing it??

    Cheers

Put a meter on it when it's turned off. It could be a short draining the battery.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Is perhaps the alternator stuffed and hence the battery not charging?

I would put a voltmeter across the battery with the bike running.
When revved it should show around 14V.

Probably a stuffed rectifier/regulator. Either hie thee to an auto sparky or get a AVO meter and start measuring.

The good old Le Mans start. I think that was a point of difference that Suzukis were sold on in the 80s until their electrical engineers moved to Kawasaki in the 90s...
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

    Good joke!!

I've lost my damn voltmeter at home so can't do that now, will have to take it down to ye olde workshop when i'm free and try that, otherwise it'll be off to the sparky so he can figure it out haha
