I did it the last 2 years and you really need to be prepared to do it. I've had no time to build my fitness and I made that mistake the first year. Don't be fooled if you think you can easily ride a 160km race. most people are lucky to get in to do a 3rd lap. And with the fuck up it was last year, I'm not so keen to jump into it. I'm sure it will be fine this year. I think that the club learned alot from last year.

So if you are going to do it, start running and training now. Even if you think you are fit, you will need the fitness. Have a good feed the day of the race and load up on carbs. Get those carbo shots (they really work) and try to organise a pit team - that was such a huge help!!

Probably be there next year. Might do some other race like the Suzuki 6 hour, its in 3 months time.

Well I've been pestered to compete but I promised myself that I wouldn't on principal.
-Prove to me that 20 odd others (surely it was that many) won't beat me over the line by getting a ride down a short cut.
-Prove to me that I don't have to wait two hours for sign on.
-Prove that there will be some tighter stuff rather than a big MX track for the guys with big nuts rather than how good a rider you are.

    Then maybe next year.

Bloody good fun on the start tho, can we have ten starts with 350 riders.

$110 seems pretty expensive for an enduro. How long is it?

100 miles, or 160km's if you do all 4 laps. Think most only do 3 laps.

Would of been keen, but last year sounded shit and expensive. Will prob try to do a few up comming round here.

Yea its one hell of a race. i have raced it for the past few years the hassle with sign on is a pain but they should have sorted that out 4 this year.
if you are considering doing it make sure you are prepared and take on lots of water in the days before it and wear a camelbak and you will find it alot more fun.
