For someone "to have my back" I only need to trust them. I know most of you on here have a negative attitude towards a patched up club, but that is what is part of it. You don't need to like them, but they will always have your back no questions asked.
Being a fraction antisocial I have not learnt to know anyone on here enough to trust them to that extent. (OK, there was one, sadly now gone)
That is still a long way from being a friend, as in my book a friend is someone I can trust, I respect and I like. And there aint many of them around.

Agreed to a point but a patch and what it means is only as solid as the members that wear said patch, obviously, back in the day i had the mis-fortune to discover that theres occasions where human fraility overides the strength of any piece of fabric, point being in some cases its easy to wear a patch and profess beliefs but when the pot boils over a patch wearer will fuck off just as quick as any.Fwiw theres only one thing that breathes that i would truly trust and its my dog, period.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
I'd agree with that. I think a lot of people have misguided trust in others (I certainly have had) and when the shit really hits the fan you soon find out who your true friends are, the ones that stand by you no matter what. You may not always agree on everything, but you know they will support you anyway.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)
