Looking to buy a road motard with pillion pegs

    Hi Bike Hoons,

I'm currently in the market for a large capacity motard to get me to work each day and hoon around Waikato's twisty roads etc.
My current Motard is a XR400 which handles well but can't take passengers. I know my next bike will be a lot heavier but that's life.
I have been researching the mission for the last month and am finding my choices are very limited.

    1) Must be passenger capable (I don't own a cage)
    2) Prefer Kick Start (not really the problem)
    3) Prefer larger than 400cc
    4) Must be reliable and low maintenance
    5) Must be single cylinder (SXV/RXV too risky)
    6) Budget - up to 8K but LC4 Motards are a bit more and could finance some through a bike shop

It seems the biggest issue is most don't have pillion equipment.
My Limited choices are: KTM Duke II or LC4 Motard!
I will not get a DRZ400SM as although they have pillion gear I'm falling asleep just thinking about it - yawn.

Any other models I may have missed?
    - any reason why the KTM's should be avoided?

    Cheers
    BB

Did I see you last night at Flagstaff ?

other than that get the 690 sm at Boyds, that would be the most reliable motard on the streets.

well a KTM is like a TM but with the added goodness of K
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
