Age is too high a price to pay for maturity
I just finished a Lion Red, last beer a week ago was Stella Artois. Wife's just got me a Chateau cardboard Red , , , mmmmmmm,, raspberry juice with sugar!
Steinies are OK and I like Speights Old Dark and Distinction Ale.
Home brew! that reminds me, my brother's got a home brew set and I was goign to ask him about it.Originally Posted by MikeL
Just finished a couple of Resch Bitters because they were on special at the bottle shop. I'm a student, I'd drink Tui or Export gold, really I'm not fussy. I used to favour Speights Old Dark, but have decided it's too expensive.
Yea I like Macs Gold, and usually have a stash of DB Draught.![]()
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
And by Speights I mean of course Speights Old Dark (though that Porter of theirs is a nice drop)![]()
Wouldn't drink anything else. Unless of course , it's available and someone else is paying. Free beer tastes best of all.![]()

I don't drink beer, it's gotta be bourbon or vodka or bourbon or vodka, or both, or bacardi.
Foreign beer, cant beat an ice cold millers, "you've just killed a small furry animal...... Its Miller time"
Kiwi beer has to be Mac's Nelson Reserve,
MMMMM BEER...
Back in the old days when I was learning to drink the stuff, a skill I applied myself to with the utmost devotion, it all tasted pretty much the same, being designed to pour down your throat as quickly as possible, sometimes not staying there very long at all. Now the beer barons and importers have taken note of the popularity of the small independent producers of fine ales and have started producing some decent brews. What beer I drink depends on the circumstances - nothing beats a Corona on a hot sunny day sitting in an outdoor cafe after a ride on the bike, but on a cold wintery night I'll go for a Guinness at my local "Irish" pub. Horses for courses just like bikes

That's interesting, given that beer and whisky have so much in common...Originally Posted by What?

I have to admit thou, one hot summer day on a drinking holiday in Mt Maunganui I walked into the Thames Pac-n-save barefoot and bought 2 trays of double brown.
disgusting.
but it got better the more you drunk it.
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis
I reckon the most successful thread is the one that starts as beer, cos then you can't hijack it to be about beer.. and nothing else matters, apart from bikes, but we have a whole website/forum dedicated to that..
anyhoo, as for my fav, I can never remember. I try a few, find the one I like, then get drunk on it, wake up the next day and can't remember which one it was! Must get round to writing it down next time I figure it out. Never been a huge fan of beer anyway, but it goes down the hatch..
This desktop pic is more of my fav cos of the photography side of it, but I think it's worthy of showing about now..
