    Stupid cars

Does anyone els get really annoyed when you on your fav road or a new road that you have found thats really cool or just any windy road, and you are having fun and then boom there is a car in front of you, and they go super amazingly slow around the corners and for some reason think they are going fast enough to not pull over and let you past on the straight thats not quite long enough to pass them on.

Don't you just hate it when you read another post about an impatient biker who just has to get past other road users who keep getting in his way...... kind of like reading about car drivers who bleet and moan about bikers all day. If other road users bother you so much.... go to a track. Cars, trucks, vans, scooters, aren't going away.... just play nice with them.

Last time that happened to me, I pulled over, turned off the engine and took off my helmet, took a few photos, had a sip of water. Jumped back on my bike and did the whole sequence car-free, went as fast as I wanted to go through the bends.

That's the story. If the line of dorks is too long, just give up. You get to savour some neat wee spots too, don't you?

Does anyone els get really annoyed when you on your fav forum or a new forum that you have found thats really cool or just any biker forum, and you are having fun and then boom there is a thread in front of you, and they go super silly about other people using the road and for some reason think they own the road and are going fast enough so that everyone else must pull over and let them past on the straight.

    Yeah, most definitely.
Some do actually pull over though to let you past, and I always give them a wave in appreciation.

As annoying as it can be Mr n Mrs Joe Bloggs have just as much right to poddle along at whatever speed they see fit (within reason) and enjoy the scencery eh,no doubt both you and i when in our golden years will annoy some guys on bikes just the same.To be honest looking back theres been a couple of times when sitting up and taking it easy behind a car has saved my bacon,on one occasion when we rounded a tight bend there was a couple of sheep standing in the middle of the road, had i passed said car and went about doing my thing the result might not have been to clever.

    I don't think it's a car that you're complaining about, it's the driver

Four wheels > Two wheels on a windy road :P

And there was this one time at band camp ... Just ride your own ride, plenty of roads for everyone and enough days in a year to enjoy them

You're on a 250 aren't you? I don't think you should be attempting that on any 250. The 250's just aren't safe, whereas a 600 or even a 400 you can crack on some speed in just a second, and then scrub it off just as quickly.

You could ride up the white line, but thats really only suitable for straight road, there are ALL SORTS of gotchas with that, so I will leave it for someone else to coach you with that one.

"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
