So you want to be treated like a bloke when it suits you,
and like a lady on other occasions?

And how is a bloke to know which way you prefer to be treated when?......

way most guys deal with it:
    Pretty- treat like lady
    ugly- treat like guy

    Works for me
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Presumption can be a mother. You are playing in a traditionally male dominated area, which means a lot of men will presume that you are not as good as they are, and will offer advice.

That’s when you step up and kick arse I hope? Or at least match them in skill – because if you don’t and you are just average (or below), then you actually justify men’s attitudes towards girls who play in their sand pit.

Some say There are operators and then there are good operators !
Some say they're good operators, but others may be better !
Some will offer advise, some may not !
Some accept advise graciously, others may not !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Has this happened to you and if not are one of those annoying advice givers?
Men offer each other advice too, that doesn't mean they are gay or anything and it's not compulsary to act on it, you make that choice!

    Get over yourself.
This happens to everyone. KB is of course a prime example. Ever wondered why there are over 2 million posts, most from male to male and 90% are full of shit.

I'm one of those annoying advice givers who actually give a fuck about people. Stiff shit, get used to it I aren't about to stop caring for my fellow man - or woman.

If I see someone doing something that could result in harm to themselves or others I speak up. They may not care about themselves - fine it's their right to kill themselves, but not to take others out with them.
However, were I to walk away and say nothing and that person later crashes, is injured, kills or is killed I would forever regret it.

Difference between myself and many on KB is that if I don't know what I am talking about I shut the fuck up. So I won't be offering you any advice on operating a 22 tonne Caterpillar, but if I see you or any other rider, male or female, doing something likely to cause a problem I'll offer you advice.
You can accept it or leave it for all I care, but I wont be accused of apathy.

Err, yes it happens daily. It's called improving your job skills with advise and learning.
Your comment just goes to show that you can't tell a woman anything without the chauvinistic card being played.
Nevermind sweety, go buy yourself some pretty shoes, and a big packet of HTFU pills.

Harsh. I don't usually have a problem with being offered advice... whether I take it or not is another issue. Also whether I have any respect for the person offering the advice has a lot to do with how much I do when they're telling me how I should be doing something.... some people know bugger all about the subjects they spout on about, the skill is in spotting them before you take on too much of their "helpful advice", usually it's just grandstanding "I know more about shit than you do" etc....

You can't do anything about that. You can relax a bit - the world isn't going to spin off its' axis because you or I aren't here at that critical moment to offer that life-saving snippet of wisdom, and really, we aint nearly as smart as we think we are anyway, we just like to think so.

So I don't regret anything. People will do what they do, and it aint my problem, and it aint my heart attack.

It comes back to what we want, really. Do we want to be right, or do we want to keep friendships alive?

Actually, I'd go a step further.
Keep an OPEN mind. Don't let your sexist attitude get in the way of learning.

We had a contract with the Air Force, being overseen by Booth Sweetman & Wolf. Involved were some of our best engineering minds from the Air Force, Booth Sweetman, NZ Steel, Dimond Industries and many others. The issue at stake (an engineering one) was resolved by Chicken George - a (very) humble Tongan carpenter.
Keep an open mind, you never know what you may accidentally learn.

Speaking of 90% of posts being full of shit and people offering advice when they haven't a clue what they're talking about and voila - right on cue along comes DangerousBastard to support my case.

Thanks also for the wonderful example to geestring of how males also recieve useless unsolicited advice from other males.
