    Chain guide/roller?

    Hey guys,

Upon inspection of the bike I've noticed that I've managed to wear through the inner part of the guide that sit's below the rear sprocket (if that makes any sense?).

Rung WMMC and was told it could be had for $130, now this seem's slightly steep for a bit of moulded plasticy stuff? The guy on the phone is going to do a bit of hunting for an aftermarket option for me but I wondered if anyone here had been through this and knew of a source?

Keeping in mind I want it for Kuratau this weekend and will pay the bloody $130 if that's the only option....

    Cheers

The guide, that sit's below the rear sprocket and holds the chain up as it come off the sprocket. The plasticy rubbery insert that the chain slides on. Cheers

its nylon bushing .you can buy it cheaper than $130 for the amount you would need. buy a block and cut it to the shape needed. it can be lathed and or drilled to fit any application

Where abouts would I look to buy such a block? Hacksaw file etc to cut and shape? Could be a viable option if it were to work out substantially cheaper. Thanks

Number 18 in this link (clicked through to find swingarm not frame) is the one I need. Can you get those too?

Bloody brilliant site by the way, fantastic for times like this! Thanks!

I doubt that number 18 - Clamp is what you're after. Find a diagram of the swingarm to get number for the chain guide.

Sorry should have been more specific! Number 18 in the link I posted is the chain guide I need....

My link is different to Barty's, same site but different page (to show diagram of swingarm like you mention).

Thanks all, my fingers are crossed!

130 is a bit steep, i got one for my old ktm for $80. it was only the plastic bush not the alloy part that it sits in

Yeah thats all I need too and I thought something more like $80 would be expected. Where was that from if you remember? At this stage I'm hoping Barty somehow works a miracle for me and earns himself a beer or 2 at Kuratau otherwise I'll be looking at ordering it 2moro to ensure it arrives for the weekend. Bloody bikes!
