However I believe it just boils down to personal preference. I have sussed out all the 600-636 2005 bikes and they are really on par with each other. Some with additions that others don't have etc etc.
The R6 looks like an awesome bike and the picture of the KAwasaki is now on my wallpaper. However I still feel the want to get the CBR600RR and I doubt very much that will change. Would be a pretty boring world if we all thad the same bikes...
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
The Fz6 isnt going anwhere for a while yet. I will be looking towards the end of this year. But what ever I look at it will have a hard job to impress me versus my FZ6. I do enjoy this bike, and find it great thru the twisties.Originally Posted by Lou Girardin

that's the thing.. When I was looking for my next toy after being on the CBR250, I rode an R6, CBR600RR and the 636. I wanted to ride the Triumph 650 and Suzuki too, but I didn't get the opotunity to. But, to me coming off a 250, they all felt similar in power, just the riding position was slightly different in each. At the end of the day, the limited edition orange sold the bike to me, but if I hadn't have seen that, then I wouldn't have a clue what I'd be riding now.. And unless you've been riding 600s for a while, I doubt most people would be able to tell, especially going from smaller bikes up.. Just ride and buy what suits you bestOriginally Posted by Honda
Off topic abit sorry but By the way bugjuice - was that you on the weekend practising wheelies down Francis St? If so be careful - there are a few lonely oldies around that get a kick out taking number plates and calling the cops to give out tickets etc; and there are a couple of cops who live on that street too - but there's also me who enjoys watching some holiganism!![]()
lmao.. where abouts are you? Were you standing outside your drive?Originally Posted by That Guy
Yeah, was me, I had a new rear tyre to scrub in and I was feelin a little cocky, so thought I'd just do one up and down the street. I have a strict rule about being in quiet areas and not to do them around other people, or with cars around that I know aren't with me (the black scooby following was with me), and not around parked cars. Not that any of this makes it right, I just want to minimise any risks. I saw a couple of oldie's eyeing up my plate, but I had already decided that I had done enough by then. I don't like doing it too much in one spot as it is, let alone in my own back yard!
More importantly, how did I look?
You should pop round some time for a catch up!
SCore......hmmm.....I'd only give you a 3 out of 10 sorry.Need to get more vertical and for longer; and into 2nd, 3rd etc.... Having said that I'm shite at wheelies and always have been, and I still enjoyed watching your efforts. Only on my old firestorm did I feel like I was getting the hang of it....the GSXR (probably like your ZX) feels like it wants to flip...
As for hooning round Francis St etc; its one of the biggest pain in the arses living in Auckland having to ride for an hour to find somewhere to really get going without attracting too much attention; but by then you could be at a track. Get your ZX to Puke for a test day....![]()
already goin to Puke, as long as the weather holds good, also Taupo on April 10 too.Originally Posted by That Guy
3/10? pfft.. you must have missed the minter I did on the other street then.. I'm getting there, but it's more like out of 10 tries, 3 are good.. but I'll get there with practice.. I'm happy for the front to come up now, but sometimes I panic a little when it comes up too quick, but if it feels right, then I gun it.. Been doing 2nd gear too, but I have to be rollin around 80k's first, so around there, I didn't want to be doing that. I'm often looking for 120ks by touch down, so may be not.. Same for 3rd gear (can do those too, but only ickle, more power wheelies at the mo).. Slow n stead as she goes..
mm, all this talk about the latest bikes -
I think its all down to personal preferance. If you like the look and comfort, get it. I doubt anyone on this site could ride them to their 99% limit to find the difference's in each. And if you could, you should be racing F2/F1.
All the fast top end / better mid range / blah blah doesnt mean too much when your only riding 60-80% of what the bikes capable of. Especially for the street.
How this grab ya kiwis?

Incorrect, I bought my K5 GSX-R600 for $15995... and im talking about the ZX-6RR (mainly because i would use it for racing...) which costs about 17000 because of the extras like slipper clutch...Originally Posted by FEINT
