I like it and I want one. I sure as heck cannot see much more than my elbows in my mirrors. Its got to be an improvement

As to focusing on things 6 inches from your eyes I think that should not be a problem as you actually focus on the reflection which is as far away as the item actually is.
If thats not clear then try this.
The image looks as it is in reality ie. if its 10 metres away then it appears 10m away, not on the actual surface of the mirror 4 inches away. Try it in the bathroom.
The only problem those of us with older failing eyesight may have is changing from one focal length to another (i.e. from tv to a book back to a tv) but we will have that problem no matter where we look
    Sigh! old age cometh
I'm one of the worlds best riders. I can wheelie, I can stoppie, I can stunt, hell I can get my shoulder down. I could keep up with Rossie if I wanted to race.

Then I go from bed to bike and somehow it all turns to crap.

And for the fairer sex we would now be stuck behind cars AND bikes at the lights as they ladies put their lipstick on in the rear view mirror?

I wonder then if they could also add the following?

    • Crystal Ball - so you could see an accident before it happened?
    • Telescope - so you could determine if the lunar alignment is satisfactory

Guys in all honesty - if you try hard enuf - you can actually turn your head - motorcyclists have been doing it for years!  It is a biological wonder I know, but trust me, you can do it.

And how many of us would be slow of the lights cos we're checking out the fairer sex in their cages behind us?

Not to mention how disconcering to just see a pair of eyes looking back at us from our pillion!

Dehydration can make you get mixed up and see the straight behind you instead of that corner coming up ahead

(good ad script for H2GO when that helmet reaches NZ)

For those who REALLY want to know

From the horse's mouth, as it were...

    Dear Sir fficeffice" />>>

     >>

The final production date and cost price have not yet been fixed. This is one of the reasons why we launched the Helmet at Milan to ascertain the reaction from the distribution and motorsports enthusiasts. The technology and the helmets astounded everyone. We are hopeful that production shall start in around one month to begin to deliver as samples to the trade with volume production early in 2004. The helmet will be available for all markets and will come with all of the relevant standards in sizes range from XS to XXL. It is manufactured to the best available anti scratch anti bacteria and real ventilation system in Italy.  10 years of research and development have gone into this product to give the consumer the best available product at this time.  >>
