The year is 1998.

The venue is the Classic Racing Register annual big meeting at Pukekohe.

The riders' instructions for the lunchtime demonstration ride include "must wear helmet and boots".

John Hudson, 1958 500 Manx Norton, rides out for 5 laps in... helmet and boots.
