I think you would enjoy this, if the thread ends up going to the Coromandle. Very nice long ride..

Else head in any direction (almost) out of Auckyland, and you'll find lots of nice roads!
I have to back off the rides for a little bit, so can't invite you to join my travels, but I'm sure many others will..

The Coromandel loop is good but not on a long weekend.

Get off SH1 down by Huntly and head south some real nice roads there keeps you away from the plods to.

Get a good road map and look for back roads.

I did the whangamata road on sunday and gave my tyres a hammering.

    Bienvenue

I know what you mean, sometimes MY bike makes me think of a french saying, which is: HOLY FUCK, I'M GOING TO DIE!!!. Oh wait, thats not french, oh well - It's what I think

Look forward to meeting you out on the road sometime, somewhere.

It is the fault of the very south
Pretend to be battered with all coats outside
Fate likes giraffes, with a flick of maize root not beans
Parrots in NZ rule its simple, don't root them less than five times a day.
If you don't get any then you may be drinking "Lion Brown"

    T-à la recherche du fauve manscant;
    Puis arrivé à l'arbre Té-Té,
    Il y reste, réfléchissant.

    Pendant qu'il pense, tout uffusé,
    Le Jaseroque, à l'oeil flambant,
Vient siblant par le bois tullegeais,
    Et burbule en venant.

Un deux, un deux, par le milieu,
    Le glaive vorpal fait pat-à-pan!
La bête défaite, avec sa tête,
    Il rentre gallomphant.

    «As-tu tué le Jaseroque?
Viens à mon coeur, fils rayonnais!
    Ô Jour frabbejeais! Calleau! Callai!»
    Il cortule dans sa joie.

    Il brilgue: les tôves lubricilleux
Se gyrent en vrillant dans le guave.
    Enmîmés sont les gougebosqueux
    Et le mômerade horsgrave.
