Methinks a lotto ticket is in order

Cruising on to 20 from Mangere Bridge end, saw a roadworks/30km sign on Mahunga Drive and didn't think anything of it. The bloody roadworks are on the onramp not Mahunga Drive. I just saw it in time and managed to straighten up a fraction. Still went for a little slide.

Then on the Southern motorway, about 300 metres from the Symonds St offramp there's a black vehicle stopped in the fast lane. It didn't register until nearly too late because the median barrier was blocking the tail/hazard lights. Just managed to squeeze between it and a truck in the lane beside me.

    Buy a ticket though

Put the money back into your account and forget the lotto thingee.

    Or poor observation skills...

Why is it, that when people say they had something "lucky" happen to them, they go and buy a Lotto ticket? If there was such a thing as luck, it might well be that in having something "lucky" happen to you, you've already used up most or all of your portion.
Can't measure it, so how do you determine whether any is 'still haging around'? :spudwhat:
Keep pushing you luck till it runs out, and then say, "Yup, that's it. I'm done with ma lucky streak." ??
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Would rather find out a lucky streak is over by losing 2 bucks on a lotto ticket than losing however much the bike is worth. Or worse, my life.

if you believe you have run out of luck because you dont win lotto the same day that your gardian angel saved your arse then maybe you shouldnt be on a bike.

my luck/grace aint running out till the day i meet my maker.

a wise man once told me( in the context of aeroplanes ) : "everyone starts with a big bag of luck and an empty bag of experience, the key to life is to fill the second before you empty the first..."
The world stands aside to let anyone pass who knows where he is going....
