3 months in, first ticket :brick:

Got my first ticket today. 63k in a 50 zone. I was judging my speed by the sound of the bike, thought I was in 4th but I was in 5th so I was going a bit faster than I thought

Short story shorter, got a ticket for 80 bucks

Got a question though, my friend, Nick (formaly known as Cryhavoc) said that it's possible to get the ticket 'discredited' because the ticket says 'Vehicle Type: Car'. Reckon I could get away with that? Even if I was able to, how do I go about 'discrediting' it anyway?

Hey dude. You you could possibly get away with it. You were not in a car.

Wkid_one lives just down the road from you. Ask him. He's great at writing tickets for this sort of thing (search the forums for his successful defence against a 120+km/hr ticket on a mountain bike).
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I'm trying to search the forums for it, but all I come up with is that stupid 'instafinder' site

Probably worth a go, you've got nothing to lose by trying.

How could you go 120+ on a mountain bike?!

It's a mission to get to much over 60kmh on a road push bike going down hill!!!!

Halfway to terminal velocity? He must have overshot a corner, and be in freefall

I think you've also got a chance of suing the cop for being down-right fucking insulting! Isn't calling a bike a "car" defamation or something?

If I recall the thread correctly, Wkid was riding his motorcycle (R1?), but the officer recorded the vehicle detail as 'bicycle'.

not sure which bike he had at the time, but what a bloody good letter it was, maybe one of the geeks can dig it out for all to see again.

Ok, how do I go about writing this letter? Does the letter have to be very long and formal?
