Its pretty cheap... But its not exacly a looker in yellow and blue is it?

Certainly beats a trx for 4500 though
Rims are fine , but if you were after some nice polished rims at a cheap price , thats what I run on my bike and was impressed with how they look on my bike compared to my old rims which were just a dull steel rim.Just my 2c

The yellow and blue is what they run on the new LTR 450's along with other colour variations, so I guess the colour scheme hasn't exactly dated, but is personal preference no doubt. If you did want to change plastics there is aftermarket companies in the states that will make them in different colours or Suzuki may even still have them as a OEM part and might be able to order a different colour through them.

That TRX was only that pricey just due them being so rare in NZ and having those aftermarket engine mods and suspension.People out there are willing enough to pay that much for them just because of the reputation they hold of having the best geometry setup in their generation right through into the mid 2000's.Had that been a LT250R in similar state with equivalent mods , it would only be round the $2000-$3000 mark.

2500 is prob all i could strech to at this stage - esp as it will be a play bike lol.

That one on trademe was seriously hopped up - would have cost a bomb.

Was hoping to find one in bits or seized or something for under 1g lol... Wanted something to do over the winter

dunno man, youd have to go to an engineer as the welds have to be certified, prob $200 or something.

res is 1350 on the LT... guy reckons it was rebuilt 4 years ago, hardly ridden since as he has other quads, just had new bushings. Everythings pretty much standard on it.

Seems like a pretty good deal... What do you think it would be worth if i painted and cleaned it up John? If I liked the extra wheels Id prob be ditching it pretty soon to get a TRX... Not a suzuki fan

Would still just be a muck-around bike though

If you keep it in good nick and all original you could fetch a pretty resonable price for it , since it is all original which you don't see many bikes like that for its age.I would say you could get $2000+ provided you were patient with the sale when the time comes.

Pref. something rough, I want to restore.

They are pretty hard to get, but worth a try, one of you guys might know someone... etc etc.

    Cheers
Got an 88 LT500r quadzilla sitting in the shed waiting for a restore. Hubby losing interest. Might tempt him to sell if he's offered the right $.
