    Happy harley

Put a screaming eagle high flow airfilter on my 88ci Softtail......
At $300 not that cheap, so was a bit weary....
Decided to pull carb apart before putting on filter and make sure I tune it all properly before thinking about exhausts....
Bugger me the needle was not put in properly....and the fuel enrichment device wasn't seated home correct either.
Put it all together properly and took it for a decent 300 plus km spin....

    Happy Harley, happy owner....
The old girl flies.....up to 160kms in 4th gear, no more popping in the exhaust, and the acceleration is definitely grin inspiring now.....
You can hear the air getting sucked in now.....it roars.

    Need a bigger helmet.....,grin doesn't fit anymore
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Good one - nothing like doing 'something' to a motor an actually feeling the difference eh!

Glad it worked out for you.

Need to so something similar to mine. Being fuel injection it's not as straightforward though. Going to go with a PowerCommander as I can't face paying the dealer $300 for one bloody download. With the PowerCommander I'll have more choices as I make more changes.

have you considered SEST, Screaming Eagle Super Tuner? Tunes the oem ecu.
Far more versatile. Even in basic mode it is a 1000 times better(more accurate, doesnt screw around with injection timing, easier to get right) than a PC. Download maps or make your own. All tables are available to edit the bees knees.
    cheers

Thanks for that. Someone else recommended it but I understood it was a good bit more expensive. Will make enquiries though.

    Cheers.
