Smile Urgent. Can you come to Sturgis next month?

Ron was all set to go touring for 33 days through West U.S.A. and Canada when he fell and fractured a bone in his foot. Doctor says "No riding for you my boy" leaving Ron and his pardner in position where deposit paid on rental bike and accomadation paid also. Not all deposits are refundable so if you , you and your pardner or you and a mate have the 33 days from July 18th to August 22nd, a good oppurtunity to ride the States at a subsidised price.
Good time to go with airfares cheapest they have been for long time, and the exchange rate not to bad, hovering round .64
This trip starts from San Francisco riding over the Golden Gate and up the Coast alongside the Pacific.Catch a ferry to Canada and have a week there and ride the famous IceFields Highway from Jasper to Banff before crossing into Montana through the Glacier National Park. This road would rate as number 1or 2 in the States.
Ride into Wyoming,Idaho then South Dakota for Sturgis Bike Rally then south into Colorado where we ride the Americas highest paved road at 14230 feet.
Warming up as we get into Utah and Arizona, visiting both rims of the Grand Canyon before riding Route 66 and on to Las Vegas.
We stay off Interstates where possible taking secondary roads and staying at small towns . Far more enjoyable than staying in the cities.
The accomadation at good hotels I have stayed at previously, most with pools, complimentry brekkie and walking distance to bars and restaurants.
Visit 15 National Parks,11 States and Canada.
Approx. price for 2 with accom. and rental bike $15000.00.
If keen send me message with your contact number.

Twin beds not a problem , your mate can have choice of Road King or Electra Glide or poss. BMW. Approx. cost with excellent insurance for 33 days NZ$7000.00. I'm in Hutt so if want to discuss let me know and we can meet.

Say $1500.00 air fare, $300.00 Travel Insurance , US $40.00 for a Golden Eagle Park Pass and NZ $ 3000.00 food, gas and beer.
Keep the beer cost down by drinking round pool at motel at $1.00 a can after ride.

I can see two dreams here Fergie, one more easily achieved than the second. Good luck with both.

A highly recommended trip. Borrow the money and just do it!

I cant do this sort of trip right now..but agree with Quart and reckon it should go on the bucket list! Awesome to see this post up tho. It will be a primo time for the people who go..and cant wait to see the pics!! I love seeing how the Americans do things as we NZers can be quite reserved.. Happy trails (thought that was apt for a yank trip)
