Patetonga Trailride Sun 21 June

I was intending to goof off this weekend but mate just rang and said he's done this ride before and it's a particularly good one, plenty challenging. Native forest by the look of map.

Well that was SUPER slippery and had some very decent challenging bits in it allright. A fair bit of it was on well formed tracks (v easy) but plenty of ruts and gnarly roots for the rest of it. Had an excellent steep and tricky climb section with short run up. Greasy stuff not my favorite riding so need to do more of it. VG for skills. Ride was kind of a cross between Paparimu and Riverhead. Club will be doing more rides here so we'll be back again. No other KBers there today?

was this one across the road from a school?
we did one in patetonga near a school after it had pissed down. was a mission, really slick clay, did one whole loop then most of the riders had to be taken out of the loop via the main road because the track was too cut up
would go back and do that track again, maybe not after so much rain but had some really cool forest bits and farm bits aswell, similar to paparimu ride like camchain said

Was very near the Patetonga motocross track, but turn left instead of right at 'T' intersection. Ride started at a big quarry. Club is pretty low key, the head guy didn't even know it was listed on Silver bullet. Hard case. I don't think there's a school nearby but sounds like it could be the ride you're describing noobi, I think they weren't keen on having too many riders show up with lots of stuck bike/traffic probs.

Edit: Had a coupla beers with them end of ride. Plugged into their message loop so I'll mention on KB when next ride is on.
