Cheers all. I indeed had an absolute blast. It is an incredible machine. I am sure with time and experience, if I were to own one I'd get used to riding it around town. I'm always a bit jittery first time on any bike I've never ridden before.

I've no doubt I'm ready for a bigger bike, but I'm sure it will be a steep learning curve whatever I decided to get.

Riffer: That thing is DOCILE compared to the others?? I imagine I would be needing to carry a spare pair of undies with me if I was to try and ride a K4 or K5.
What you have in your heart will be revealed through what you have in your life.

If things are going badly in our circumstances, the answer to what is happening to us outwardly is more often than not found in the mirror.

Hi DL, I went from a Honda VTR 250 to the K4 about 8 months / 14,000km ago and have been loving it. No scary moments becasue the bike does what YOU tell it to. Sounds like you're pretty sensible, and you have already worked out you don't have to chuck it down into second and do wheelstands just to pass some traffic. You just stay in 6th roll on the power and marvel at Mr Suzuki's genius.

I had a ride on the new K9 the other day and wow! I reckon with a nice yoshi on it this would be the perfect ride ... not that I'm biased or anything!

    Happy riding mate
One in four people are unbalanced. Think of three friends - if they seem OK then you're the one!

Yeah, be real wary of that much power coming off a 250cc bike, I went from a 06' FZ1 (with 150 hp) to a ZX14 with 190ish hp and I had an adjustment period, had a couple of moments where the shear speed the bike racked up took me by surprise.
