Why if you're looking for a light fast track bike did you only list slow heavy bikes???
Get an RG150. They cost about half that of a CBR250 and they are FUCKING quick around a track because they are so light. And there is a specific class of racing for the 150cc bikes.
of course, coz its a four stroke.
Geez, you are going to be picky about the 80's styling of it?
A learner lady friend of mine just bought a KR150, and she was just idling it around and I thought it was time she felt this little weapons' power band, so I sent my son out in front in the car on the open road and told her to "just put it in third gear and then hold the throttle wide open pass the lad in the car." Well, I was following on my 650 and I was full tit trying to catch them.. this fucking little KR did 125k before she got it out of 3rd gear, and gave everyone a bad fright, except her of course - she had the biggest grin on her face while we more-experienced bikers were frowning.
Seriously, get a two stroke.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
"Wow, Great advise there DB."

No one fools chuck norris.......
Learn to tame a 2 stroke and it will make you a better rider. It will teach you much, much better throttle control than any of the bikes you have mentioned. Small bore 4 strokes are easy to ride, which usually means average riders go faster on them, but not because the rider is faster, but because the bike is making up for short comings of skill. You think it is a coincidence that the two classes leading to MotoGP (125gp and 250gp) are two strokes, and have stayed that way for so long?
If you want to leave buckets and go racing the best route is either 125GP, but that will take large sums of money in comparison to buckets, and good mechanic, or streetstock where you can either ride on 250 four strokes or 150 two strokes.
Otherwise if you just feel like having a cool bike that you like riding, buy the one you want and go track daying.
Light and Fast ?? MOTARD ..................lighter and faster than all the above![]()
