I love the smell of trail bikes in the morning...

Another excellent day out at the Sandpit...

Good to see your daughter getting her confidence back on the quad littlejohn.

Sure had a few laughs with KB'ers today and no more 'short' jokes eh Midget... Now that you've had a go on the 85 you can use it as a bench mark to measure the 'short comings' (sorry, that was bad) of the nasty, big, over weight bikes...

Watched a couple of guys on trials bikes playing on the structures by the entrance, love to give that a go again.....

Thanks for the ride, it was great - oh better qualify that, thanks for the ride of the bike! It was very cool! Just need to take it out on those big woops and see what happens! Yeah I am concerned about the little wheels, but if you assure me they'll take me up the Big Dipper I'm sold! Saw that there's a KS100 overseas. It has a little more power, but much the same as the 85!

    The jokes are bad CLMINTIE!!!!

Was an awesum day out there - heaps of riders.
We had trouble getting Atlanta off the quad to go home in the end - once she got into it there was no stopping her. She done 3 loops of the learners to which got her confidence up.
Cool photo's of her - thanks

You can find second hand ones in NZ up to 2005. In yellow or green plastics, same bike. The '09 ones sure are pretty though...

So why did you pick the 100 then? Do you struggle with the woops with the little wheels? Have you been to the Big Dipper, and the farm loop with the uphill? You know the woops I mean, out by the fenceline that keep going, and going and going?

How are you finding your bike? Do you enjoy it, are you thinking of taking a step up?

I went for the 100 because it's lighter and quicker than my old bike, and thought it'd be cheaper for me to get a little bike and add stuff to it (big tank, pipe etc) than pay for a big bike and then pay for getting it lowered on top of that. I wasn't going to upgrade so soon but I gave it a test ride 'just to see' and it was too much fun! Haven't done the big dipper yet. Farm loop was no sweat-well, some sweat, but you know, no 'oh god I'll never get out of here' moments! When I first got the bike I thought it sucked at hills, turns out it was just me having sucky technique. I think I do better on it on hills than I did the dr-z now. It took a little while to get used to it though, second ride out on it was a mr moto ride, so lots of hills, I was feeling pretty defeated until I saw Grace zip by me on her 85 and I realised it was me not the bike!
You mean those ones when you go right at the end of coast rd? I can one time them even in the dry, but not always, I figure squirreling about in loose sand is just a fact of life

Hi, sorry i didn't come over & introduce myself yest - kinda busy with the kids & getting ready & also saw all the guys were talking to ya re the 80/85s so left them to it lol.
Think John told ya that i learnt from scratch on my bike. Total total newbie as in didn't even know how to change gears!!
Totally love my bike. Size is great, weight is good & its got plenty of power for what i do. I haven't done any big hills on it well tried one & didn't quite make it up lol - but that was my skills - lack of them - not the bike lol.
I'll be happy on mine for quite a while yet which makes it all the more worth it as i haven't suddenly outgrown it.
Not sure what sprockets are on Graces by i know mine is higher geared than Rachels so hills & deep sand she can get through easier than me - she can move in 1st gear whereas i bog easily. But i love the higher gearing in other parts so wouldn't change.

As for the 100s they are same size frame as the 85's as far as i'm away jst obviously bit more power.
