    GPS files now avaiable

Hi Guys and Gals. The GPS files are now available from my website. Let me know if there are any issues

The whole route is too long to have one GPS route file so it is in parts. There are two options one for older GPS units and one for newer GPS units. All pretty obvious but the part that is labelled X is the Challenge loop.

    Cheers R

Geez Nordie, your geography is shocking, Rangitoto is north of the bombays!

Cool - good to know the site is being used

I'm sure you can see the SI from the Bombays - if your about 5000m above them

I am bummed too, I had it all set up, really looking forward to it.
I can make it later on in the month, so will head down with Joe. We plan on hitting the top of the south, so I have to make a route with frequent pit stops for photo taking and more importantly, gas....for the Katoom!
I get to make use of the ferry booking now...

Okay when is everyone heading down to Fairlie?
Alf and I intend leaving Christchurch about midday Friday and permission pending hopefully taking an offroad excursion thru the Orari River Gorge past Lake Opuha to Fairlie, anyone interested in joining us?

I will be in fairlie about a week prior, and may be keen to come through and meet you guys for a whip through the Orari.

    I may be coming afterall..
Thing is, it will be a ferry on the 15th morning, or 14th if I can manage it.
I will have to zap home North on the Monday night ferry...
I guess it can be done no problems.. It will be worth it I am sure....

    Talking watching with interest

gidday all - this old fart intends leaving Picton noon ish on the Thursday 14 and taking a leisurely ride down to be in Fairlie on the Friday evening. For the return I'm crossing back to the North Island on Monday 18/1 - needing to be at Picton by 5pm - a long haul on the Monday - especially on my DR - Ciao Aslan
