Although not unexpected (2 contact patches vs 4), many bikers in my experience live under the illusion they can outbrake a car.
Also no mention of the V-Max's ability (or lack there-of) to go around corners ...

This has got to be the worst vid on Youtube but it's good enough proof for me, GSX1400 0-100k 2.57 seconds, v-max eater.

There is a better vid somewhere on there but I couldn't find it just now.

And that's without the red bull cans on the suspension that mine is equipped with, I'll take another second of the time for them
    Oh bugger

A standard GSX1400 with yoshi exhaust system did 0-100kmh in 2.6 seconds, faster than any production vehicle of any sort in the world.
We'll have to see about that ......

In a recent interview in the US, Chuck Norris was asked which bike he rode,Perhaps a new V-Max......

Chuck: I don't ride motorcycles, I don't need to, I can run faster than any bike 0-100 whilst simultaniously performing Karate chops and Kicks, however, if you were to ask me which motorcycle best captures the chuck Norris spirit, I'd have to say the GSX1400, It's one mean mudder fugger, packs a bigger punch than any other bike and is scientifically proven by the 'Chuck Norris institute for bullshit evasion' to be the fastest production motorcycle from 0- 100k on planet Earth. Any one that disagrees with me is going down man!

    Can't argue with the man

One (1) contact patch versus four. (Effectively).

From the reviews I'd read of the new E-DCBS/ABS system, the racers could brake quicker overall without ABS, but for a panic stop on wet roads, it was no contest: ABS FTW!
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I thought one of the big kwakas was the fastest production bike, aparently it has so many Z's, X's and R's in the model ID that it needs a second bike just to fit them all.
But its a good thing I don't know anything because I'm a deluded biker.

    Beats me too Pedro...and I'm stumped .

More weight plus just only just over half the HP of a Hayabusa or a ZZR14 equals ...>>>>> quicker ??

Think someones taking the piss .....that's cool , I had a squirt on a 1400 Suzuki a couple of weeks ago, nice bike and quite comfortable but not for me. ( Yet )

On a totally unrelated note, here is some distortion.

The area below the torque curve on a dyno may help explain, also the gearing helps and a relative lack of wheelspin and wheelie may be a factor....

They can't have set it up for you properly otherwise you would have ridden out on it

It's all about torque low down, a lot of forward weight to keep the front down and a lot of weight full stop to let the back wheel get maximum grip.
The result..... velcro on your leathers
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Did you hear that Beyond? That calls for a trip down country doesn't it?
