Quick visual compare: Seat looks to have a touch more padding (?), Muffler looks shorter but apparently different side numberplate. maybe different discs more solid/less bite?
Uberskilled Cam Smith able to do the biz on his MXer, light flywheel etc and didn't even bother to change to 18" rear! This new beast will suit more folks.

yeah that cam smith looks to be built like a brick shit house... strength makes a big difference to being able to ride something so switchy all day. This version's gotta be a bit de-tuned???
    Wide ratio box scott?
    comon what's the specs?
    weight?

    ok specs,
wide ratio box, all gear ratio's and primary drive ratio are different,
fuel tank same size as mxer (6.2L)
    18" rear wheel
    lower compression,
crub mass (with fluids) 123.5 kg (mx version 113)
slightly less caster which shuold mean a bit more stable,
also no tool air filter access

what's a DRZ weigh? about the same as that innit? I WONDER HOW MUCH YOU'D SAVE IF YA TOOK OUT THE bATTERY AND STARTER. sorry bout caps...

That fuel tank size been anykinda problem for anyone? does the efi make the fuel last much longer? (on the rmzs)

won't less caster make it less stable/turn in faster??

it is a pretty small tank, i know the EFI RMZ450's do not have a very big range now and it is the same tank,

DRZ curb mass is around 132 i think, the jap's have turned from quoting dry weights to curb mass, i think the DRZ was 118kg dry,

Good to see the two strokes will still be available.
Now how about a wide ratio RM250?

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

Given how many DRZ400's they sell for the road, you'd hope so.
