This is half the reason I don't have a disc lock.

The other half is I'm too lazy to use it all the time and I don't want to tempt fate... You know the old "if only my disc lock was on instead of it being under the seat" scenario.

Try here: I've taken a stab at your model: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...37&hg=31&fg=10
You'll need to make sure you pick the correct side.

Just noticed an inconsistency with that site, have a closer look at this one and see which one matches yours.

Click between the two items on the right hand box, then you can click on the schematics below.

Do they still make grip locks?

I havn't seen any of those around for ages. Better idea then a disc lock i think

Why don't you try motorcycle doctore 0800 668663, his web site is on KB. He is mobile and can come to your place. Just ring him and ask for a quote. Cheers

Yes. This is what my wife and I use. They sell them at MotoMail: http://www.motoretail.co.nz/product.cfm?ID=5027

As you can see in brake 2 pic the damaged part is at the center there.

yes, It also wraps around the throttle so it won't turn. It's biggest advantage is that you simply can't forget it.

I can't believe how much i rely on transport. I keep thinking oh i could go visit such and such or It would be nice to head to such and such a place. then i start t head for my armour then i realize SHIT no vehicle.

now i can understand why before easy transport, people lived virtually their entire life within 30 miles of home.

Has it broken the mount on the fork? Looks like just the caliper mounting bracket, which unfortunately doesnt look to be a separate part of the caliper glancing at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...21&hg=34&fg=05 but hard to tell from the pics)

May I suggest those with handguards fitted do not use a grip lock... I haven't used my grip lock since I last put it on the bike with hand guards...

... which is funnily just before I took one hand guard off for some reason

fork mounts appear to be fine.

its just the cradle that the calipers mount on to that is damaged.

Yeah, I won one of these from BRM and couldn't fit it because of the hand guards!
