I'd agree with that however IME the Hondas don't seem to suit taller riders so well.

Get a VFR400R. Then you can race it in post-classic pre-89 and Formula 3 when you feel ready.

what he said vfr nc 30 (can tell it from the earlier models easily because the n30 has single side swingarm and muffler on left...)

i'd say CBR or ZXR, if you get a zxr i got 3 engines in bits anough good bits to make at least 1 good motor... ya can buy the lot off me cheap just taking up garage space man.

ill be ya mechanic if ya got a zxr...

    2smokers!

Pffft none of the above , go for 250 two stroke, rgv nsr etc.

Cant get much lighter than those bikes and theyll eat any cbr or zxr for breaky... derestricted that is

    But i am biased....

Ah, that's your problem. Two-strokes are meant to give you a hard-on, y'see.

Well two stroke road bikes aren't quite like a dirtbike two stroke so I wouldn't write them off without riding one, especially if you only need it for the track, because the only reason I bought (and would buy again) one of the four strokes you mentioned was because two strokes are too expensive for maintenance. But if you have to choose one of them, have a look at the ZXR and CBR. Everyone seems to think cbr 250s are the best of the bunch, but the zxr isn't loads off and has better ergos IMO. Mine had quite a few kms on it but all I ever did to it was replace a cam chain tensioner (cheap) and it ran awesome.
