US Tour - bike shippers from here to there and back?

    Hi all

I am looking for some info on what is involved in taking a bike from here to the US for a couple of weeks to do a tour on and then bringing it back home again.

I'm not looking to hire a bike over there, for a number of reasons, if I can avoid it at all.

This is for a specific event with set dates and would mean shipping to the West Coast (SF) initially and then sending it home from the East Coast (NYC) a couple of weeks later.

I've tried searching but everything I've found seems to be about permanent moves one way.

    So...

    is this possible?

what is involved in doing it?

    'ow much does it cost?

    all info appreciated

    contact Ken O'Leary in Wellington - jan.ken@paradise.net.nz

I offer a similar service for Aussies from Sydney to Portland, Oregon every year and back to Sydney. Bikes in USA from early July to mid Sept.

    Good luck.

We had good service from Go Logistics for our recent Oz trip, they were recommended by someone on here that had used them to go to the USA. Ask for Chris Edwards.

You might have to organise a crate at the end of your trip if you're not doing a loop.

    Cheers
