where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Its not something that I've seen here in NZ and I was just wondering if they exist.
Not so much a "bike night", but the Puhoi Pub north of Auckland is a real popular bike hang out. Especially go up there any time on a weekend and your bound to see lots and lots of bikes. They even have a special bike parking area (which is bigger than the car parking area).

yes thank mate - I was aware of that

It seems this may be a uniquely American phenomenon.

Hmmm.......I wonder if I have discovered a gap in the market?

I feel you, also spent time in the USA. There was always a local place you could go for a spin and see other bikes. Pohoi is prob the closest. I approached my local pub in Panmure as they just built it and its very nice, huge TVs and also cheap food.....and heaps of parking. I asked if they promote bikes coming as I feel its a market not touched here in Auckland. Lets face it on group rides we spend alot! Anyways he said he would approach management and I asked him if he could maybe put forth 10 percent off for and bikes.

I havent been back there for ages..... do you think I should follow it up?

    And would people go?

    Yes and I would.

It wouldn't want to be overdone, probably once a month, or even every 2 months, would be the go.

Done right it could be a real winner

They are not runs as such but rather social events for motorcyclists.
Sounds just like the CHCH Wednesday maintenance evenings...

A bit of tinkering, a bit of friendly banter, a bit of bike envy, a bit of drinking at the end of the night...
Studies have shown that your keyboard and mouse are some of the most germ-ridden devices you own, surpassing even doorknobs and toilet seats...
