Got some good and bad memories of these old CBR's. Raced one in the last castrol 6 hour. That was good fun. Then crashed it at Puke going through the Stables on the club circuit when it was pissing down. Bad arse memories.

Go on, show us the wonderful front and arse-ends that they have too :-)

And whilst I think they've been hit with the ugly stick, when they were originally released I thought they were sweet as...

mate --was it you that aquaplaned clean through that 30m puddle and then high/low sided as the tyres dug into the dirt on the embankment?
i have a memory of ending up going really high up on the bank cos I was close behind a cbr at pukie --musta been 88-89 .
I think I still have a chunk of cbr fairing in my trophey box
For those bitching about pukie track conditions---trust me you aint seen nuffing.
There used to be a 30mm lip right across the track as you went through stables-its the outside edge of jennian now -that was followed by a deep dip that filled up with water when it rained -then to cap it off -on the sweeper the track surface was literally falling to pieces -you had to take the sweeper tight otherwise you'd scate on the broken up track surface.

I owned an '89 F1. Very reliable, always fired up in the mornings and never had any mechanical probs. Plenty of get up and go when required.

    600's are great machines! Enjoy.

Yeah... I have to agree with you monsterbishi, I don't reckon they're that beautiful either, but I think mine has a certain "mad max" charm and a cool paint job. So I've decided to go easy on you and send you that front pic you're after
Oh, and sorry White Trash, I just looked at your sig and realised that you don't have a bike at the moment. I thought you were taking the piss. ...Yeah, I was a bit boozed last night (St Paddys)

Does have a really cool paint job, allthough the fairings are a bit funny, streetfighter it like my (later model) CBR:

The colour is it's redeeming grace, be thankful you didn't get one with a predominance of white, especially with their fascination of pink graphics back then!
