Soon I'll get my act together and actually write this formal letter. Got all day tomorrow for it

Yeah, that'd be about right. Got my first ticket about 3 munce after getting my bike. Was doing about 71 in a 50 (actually 41mph in a 30). Wrote a nice, grovelly letter, admitted I was a gnarsty murdering criminal, promised never to do it again, and got fined $10 and ordered to do a Defensive Driving course.Originally Posted by alamaramarumba

Few munce laters, got microwaved at 38 in a 30 (only barely defrosted). Instant $16 fine, which was great, because a few seconds before that, the mighty CB175 had been travelling at an indicated 75 or thereabouts, and the cook operating the microraver knew it too, but had it on 'AutoDefrost' instead of 'BurnToACrisp'.
Write yourself a nice story, especially pointing out that the ticket is filled out incorrectly. If you or someone you know belongs to AA, get {whoever is a member} to phone up their Legal and Technical Service and ask for some (free) advice.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()

Or are the courts more hard-arsed about that sort of thing now?
