    Shite and shit - $$$$

My god .. went warrented and registered my bike this morning ... warrent fine ... $32 - checked by a rider ... at VTNZ in porirua

    Registration ... OMG

    $321.24

Made up from $24.50 Licence fee $1.64 other levies, $6.72 administration ACC $252.69 - gst $35.69

Farking hell ... I know ACC did ok looking out for me when Grub died in an accident ... but shite that is almost the cost of last years reg on its own!

Ouch. Wish I hadn't read that. Just had my Daytona WOF'd and now I need to Reg it. But yep, I was looked after pretty well by ACC as well so I guess maybe there is some justification for it.

Phew. Lucky I own a Harley. The manual says that registration and WOF's are optional.

You should be able to get a discount if you own multiple vehicles. After all, you can only drive / ride 1 at a time.
I hope that price was for a year, otherwise i will need to apply for a mortgage to run my bike.

    Know how you feel Kari.

Rego and WOF last weekend for my RF.

And now I own TWO motorcycles.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

My arguement a few years ago about acc was,if you have private medical insurance you should be exempt from acc levies on vehicles. We had at the time cover for 2 adults and kids(from birth the kids cover)surgical cover which was pretty well priced. At the time it cost about $80 year acc on rego for cars and bikes.Still have to pay via paye the levies so that would cover work and sport injuries from income.

I have 5 motorbikes, meh, I love them all so will keep doing the rego and etc on them. It's all relative! I could be spending that on wine, women and song ... but I find having 5 motorbikes cheaper!

You can have as many bikes as you like - just only have one number plate....

How does that work? Are different bikes registered at different rates?
