    Good reliable brands

Wanted to pick the brains of you fullas as im sick of buying shit that is expensive ( like boots) only for them to fall apart quickly.
so, wanna know about brands that you wanna give the big tick for reliabilty, price or both cos learning by trial and error sux.
this goes for all gear, goggles and parts, tyres etc.

Shoei helmet, 661 knee guards, evs boiler suit
are the kit I like best at the moment, the knee guards are bullet proof and the body armour really good works & tough to know you are wearing it, helmet is great good ventilation & never feels wet when you put it on ( great padding )

Well for me its the Gearne Boots. Designed for Enduro type riding and not really MX so you still get a certain amount of "feel" to the feet..

They are still made in Italy and not China so the quality is top.

I used to go through a pair of boots every year due to the soles crapping out. I stand a lot you see.

It wasn't worth repairing the soles on others as they cost about $150 to repair. Then they would only last 6 months, if that.

for tyres, im a big fan of the Michelein MH3, - well priced, excellent grip in prety much any conditions, esp mud. dont fall apart, and last the distance. much better than similar metzelers

gloves- dont bother buying expensive ones, they still wear thru just as quickly.

fox tracker boots fall apart real quick, but they can be obtained for $130... maybe a good pair of boots as a spare pair?

other fox gear recently has also failed me.. im losing faith in it as a brand.

KBC helmets are the same as oneil, only the name differs.

Tried some on. Found they are a different fit to my HJC one and other Fox ones. I'm a medium normally but felt best in a small 661.

Havn't tried one on a ride.

oneil boots are shitty, Mine have split along the arc of your foot on both sides and the Buckles have fallen off, but im still using them. have had them for about 3 years.
All my shift gear as lasted for about 4 years and im still wearing them.
Just my pants have worn out rather bad (over the boot style) from the 4stroke exuast..

Sounds like the you get what you pay for.
I have thor quadrant boots and have trouble with the buckles coming undone a lot.
Yeah have heard that about gaerne and sidi boots, the fact that they're not made in china is a biggie, as for tyres the MH3 dont come in 18 inch.
Dont think michelin do equivalent in 18?would like a michelin rear.
Really happy with my S12 front tho.

Alpinestars boots mate. They have a few different models to suit different budgets.
    From around $399 upwards.
The Tech-3's are a great start.
