    Damaged Escort X50 Radar required.

I'm looking for some bits of an Escort X50. It got damaged in my crash last year.
It still fires up so the internals still go but.....
I'm missing the front & rear plastic and my volume on/off control is munted.
Anyone with a dead one I'd love to hear from you

Starky307 has a similar thread for a valentine .. so same applies

I'm prepared to pay for it based on condition, not after a complete freebee.

    Hi Warren,

If you can't get any casing pieces and the rest works ok, an alternative might be to get one of the X50 waterproof plastic covers that Radar Direct sells for about $30 - my X50 lives in one permanently.

Can't help much about your volume control other than to hook the detector up to a screamer like I have.

Have you actually contacted the service dept of Escort Inc. about spares? Chooky had a problem with his recently and was going to get in touch with them. The email is: radarsupport@escortradar.com.

    Cheers,

    Geoff

Yer... mine just failed, wouldnt even turn on...
It was replaced under warranty with a brand new one....
Sorry, didnt get to keep the old one, so there's a good case at the dump somewhere....

But this brings up an interesting point... Does my new detector have 12 months warranty or does it carry on from the other one which was 5 months old....?

Just ask the place you brought it from.
Too many bush lawyers on KB..but at least you may hear what you want to hear even if it is wrong...
Jesus was nailed up to some wood, two thousand years later and book sales are still good
