    Biker killed in Clevedon

Just saw it on the news then, killed in a head-on with a truck, looks like he/she was just exiting a left-hand corner. The rider was dead on scene, the body trapped under the truck. There was a ZXR250/400 red and black parked up, possibly the riders or a companion.

I hope it was no-one here, but whoever you are I'm thinking of you. My thoughts go out to all involved.

Maybe it was, I briefly glanced at the bike and registerd a ZXR (small bike and two round seperated headlights) so could've been either. I kind of hope no-one here knows exactly, if you get what I mean.

What can you say, its a sad and chilling reminder. So close to home for me, thats a little scary. Such a waste of life.

Oh dear. My thoughts are with the loved ones of the rider.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

Yes, didn't sound too pleasant - I was at work when the job came in but fortunately wasn't required to go out there... was on North Road (I think that's the name - runs from Clevedon through to Duders Beach).

    RIP

It's been a bad holiday weekend on the roads. I suppose that statistically it would have been too much to expect that there would have been no bikers included.

Saw it on the news and automaticly gut wrenched - as per limmys ride etc.

    But seems it wasnt ours?

The parked up bike was more likely a VFR thats what I thought when I saw it anyway.

    RIP.

    Rest in peace.

I scares me every time something like this happens. It could happen to anybody.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

The group I was riding with came upon the scene only minutes after it had happened....before the emergency services had arrived.
    It wasn't pleasant......(what an understatement!)
    Certainly a very sobering experience.
A very quiet ride home after that.

This acts as a reminder to us all to take our training seriously and keep our skills up to date. It is possible to ride and stay alive for a long time, Ulysses is one of the biggest clubs in NZ that must say something...
