Just been on my first ride

Well not strictly my first, but it was my first in, what, 20 years!

Loved it There are some very quiet little back roads round Birkdale / Beachhaven complete with mini roundabout's hill starts etc. Ideal to take it easy, concentrate on your riding and learn essential basic skills before getting out with lots of traffic around.. Boy do I need some (read lots of) practice.

I'm going to try to find a large carpark nearby so I can practise in relative safety.

God it's good to be on two wheels again.

Great stuff, its good to ride isn't it? Good to hear your being smart and taking it easy and progressively. Ther are plenty of good tips on here.Check out the newbie and survival skills forums.

Congratulations!! Good on you!!! I remember my first ride...i do'nt think I stopped smiling for a week. I know I thought I wish I had known bikes could be so much fun...I would of taken it up years ago lol
