    Worn-out KLR600 on TradeME

Was interested to see a KLR 600 ( as opposed to 650 ) on TradeMe recently.....

I guess it's had a bit of a hard life......

You've got a bit of work to do there mate...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

It's hard to belive that someone paid $120 for what looks like a burnt out pile of rust.

Good on them I say. I am sure they have got good value. I just can't, and prefer not to be able to, see the value myself.

The chain has not been oiled regularly. A sure sign of neglect.

That would be worth it just for the clutch and clutch cover, if you wanted to put a kickstarter on a later 650
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Been ridden on 90 mile beach a bit I reckon - that salt water is pretty harsh!

Shouldn't be too much work as long as the 3 golden rules are applied :-

If it's stuck and it should be moving: apply WD-40.

If it's moving and it should be stuck: apply duct tape

If you can't fix it with a hammer; You've got an electrical problem
