    I'm really really good!
I can jump real high, fly past Birchy & Coppins , win the nationals , do cool stunts to impress the girls, never fall off or bust my body .......

    Then I wake up!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Speaking of dreaming, the other night I was hoping to have a pleasant dirt(y) bike dream so I read my new DRD mag before going to sleep. Had a dirt bike dream alright - after getting my gear on for race I went to get on bike and someone had stolen it. Everyone took off from start line and I ran after them - then I woke up in a sweat. Doh.

Hmm. From my observations of this thread, looks like roadies win hands down - for talkin' it up. lol

Ah, I remember Brendon, on a good day I could give him a run for his money, but as usual I was on an '85 bike, they were all on '90 and '91 bikes....Murray was just before my time I think (or just after)....did you ever race Bartley Cochran? He was a junior around then? Alistair Henwood was just turning senior. Jeez, trying to remember some names.... Mark Sands, Shane Rouse, Alistair Watmough, fark, it was too long ago....
