Whittakers for us now, all the way from Porirua.

I used the feedback form on the Cadbury's website and even told them we had been discussing the problem here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=99946 and I got back virtually an identical email reply from Wendy to that nallac got.

They say its all based on research, well they never asked me if I wanted a change in size, taste and packaging so we no longer put Cadbury in our shopping trolley - stuff em!
    Cheers

    Merv

Well, after sitting here and consuming 4 of them chunky fundraiser bars between the two of us I'm still firmly in Cadbury's camp.

Whittakers is horrible chocolate, and their advertising is soooo low its disgusting.
I used to buy Whittakers for the other half, but I am boycotting it now.
If they hadnt done the 'comparision' advert comparing them to Cadbury, I would have continued to buy their product, but I dislike that kind of advertising so that alone has put me off them.
He isnt allowed it in the house either LOL

I could care less about price so thats not a factor....
I'm a girl, when I NEED chocolate, I NEED CHOCOLATE and cost, location, time of day are not factors. I WILL have chocolate LOL

In actual fact I like the new Cadbury packaging too. I find the block boxes easier to deal with, they sit in the pantry better and with the smaller packs, I eat less at a time hahahaha = biggest bonus of all!!!!!

See.......Cadbury are contributing to helping New Zealanders lose our 3rd fattest nation in the world label by reducing our chocolate intake.
Whittakers however are compelling people to eat bigger blocks and get fatter.
    Gross.

    Cadbury FTW.

I didn't think there was much of a choice - until Cadbury changed their recipe.

I've always been a Cadbury chick, but maybe whittakers will be the seller from here

Yes people should be kinder to massive overseas profit driven confectionery conglomerate.

Can't see the problem with an advertising campaign that solely reports the facts

Facts, perhaps.... nevertheless if anyone else used that kind of advertising, whether big or small is regardless, I would stop buying from them too.

Wow, 'tis a brave man who comments on a woman and their chocolate eating habits........

I have more than enough self-control thank you very much, however when you are pregnant and a craving strikes, self-control has NOTHING to do with it.

I'm not sure what the riding of bikes has to do with chocolate either?
I dont have a hugely powerful bike but I have some VERY fast cars and just because they are fast, doesnt mean I necessarily drive them that way.... I've not had a speeding ticket yet in one, although I do enjoy track days immensely.........

I find it interesting that while this is a thread which is sheer opinion, that there are people out there who rather than just make their opinion known, feel the need to attempt to make others feel bad for their opinions because they differ to the posters.............
