maybe stale fuel is lighter, or you were a 200ml of fuel short! 103kgs is what the internet states, maybe thats wrong, maybe your work scales would weigh the crf lighter. And maybe there's fuck all in it, and maybe no one really cares.

It is a nice bike though and I'd like one......the heavier crf.

Na they are proper scales we use for weighing freight for international shipping. Topped up with gas too. Just stating the facts!! LOL and just to be a dick really.

anyone ridden a efi bike to confirm if it makes much of a difference. Noticed Ryan Dungy (rmz250 with efi) had a big crash, bike flipped lots, and was still running when he got to it

The EFI should obviously be efficient - the tank size is only 5.6 litres but will get the same millage as the 08 model with a 7.something litre tank.
Riding the 09 450 (EFI) over the 08 was a big difference. The 09 is very crisp off the line and has no bog when you crack the throttle. Power is a lot smoother and had no nasty hits of aggressive power making it easier to ride.

Hopefully the 250 will be the same.

its getting as close to the power band feeling as a 4t is gonna get,i hope it gives the 250 a more agressive hit down low,you already have the touque ow it just needs the booggie! for the record iv never ridden an efi bike but i hope thats where the 4t is heaed.

Damn good question, given how little they changed last year you'd hope she's a full rebuild like the suzuki & honda's.

Oh they are going to be full sick, at least the 450 is and from what I heard the 250 is possibaly going to have the same ground up rebuild.

Bubba sure seemed happy with his new 450, sure hope the 250 get's a ground up, the YZ's up here seem to enjoy running over KTM's & their riders, so always good sport to have them around.

The weight of the fuel pump adds to it as does the extra stuff in the ignition/magneto area for powering the fuel pump, throttle body & brains behind the operation.

Ive ridden the RMZ and KXF inj bike KXF is alot smoother than than RMZ. I flipped the KXF in an enduro and it lay on the ground for a bit and then started straight up again.. Never ever had starting issues

Love the fi, no bog no lag only problem is that they run on their side when you stack it, cool if you are close by and unhurt, not so cool if the throttle is stuck in the dirt and its revving it's tit's of while you are in the fetal position crying for mum.. My bro's ran the big end bearing, we think it was because it ran dry in the aformentioned situation. Just somthing to be aware of if you ride one. The CRF pumps oil out the breather into the airbox when that happens as well, there is fuck all oil in these fi bikes so keep checking it and stand the buggers up as quick as you can after a stack.

good point. ash. i wonder if they can sort that out with a tipover switch like some quads have. You wouldn't want it switching off while jumping or laying it into the berm tho so would be tricky. Maybe a fool proof "will run upside down" dry sump system would sort it but again that's probably tricky to do
