Removing pillion seat - gsxr250

I need to get at the toolkit under the pillion seat on my gsxr250, but I'm unsure how to detach it. The owners manual I have doesnt shed any light either, so can someone tell me how to do it. Thanks

Take the main seat off. at the back of where the main seat was..there is a "wingnut" type bolt. unscrew that right out, then push/pull the seat forward and up. should be piece of piss unless its buggered?

or there will be a key lock under where your left thigh will be, which will release your seat. Then there may be a wingnut under there if the front and back seats are seperate, but from memory on the one I had, it was one long one. My lock had come off, so there was just the cable that I gave a tug and it popped up, so look for that too..
