What I did in the holidays.... ouch!

    Well, what can I say?

Apart from .. Bugger.... Was having the usual heaps of fun at the Sandpit trying to keep up with Grace on my first lap of the MX track, saw a new jump and not knowing what it was like, I slowed down to a reasonable pace to just pop over and have a look. Alas there was a hole on the other side where the dirt had been scooped and I had exactly the right speed to hit the other side front wheel first. Trusty KDX stopped dead (hmm, poor choice of phrase.. ) and of course I didn't.......
Result is many weeks off the bike and camera (needs two hands to operate...)
..Gotta say a huge thanks to everyone who helped, I was convinced I'd dislocated the 'socket' part of the joint and with help from some very willing ladies (inflicting more pain a specialty me thinks) we had a few goes at 'popping' it back in with no success. As it turned out it wasn't separated, so that was really just good entertainment for the gathering crowd....

I’m most impressed with my girls too, soon as I’d left in the meat wagon, they took their bikes off the trailer and rode another 2 hours… Then when they got home, my wife took them to the premier of Harry Potter. What’s a guy gotta do to get some attention?

I also think I lost some credibility when I said “this is worse than childbirth” Not a good comment in such company…Hehe…

THIS IS NO REFLECTION ON THE SANDPIT. Just a slow old fart making a mistake….

stink mate. well done! hopefully it doesn't take too long before you can at least get back on the camera. I'm was starting to quite enjoy taking photos and saving money by not riding (my rooted shoulder has had 8 weeks off the bike and is pretty good now)... then i dropped my camera... So i'm off to pick up my repaired lens today 260 later... feeeeeck

Imagine the repercussions had the roles been reversed!!!

Get well soon mate! I did that in a road bike prang it hurts like hell!

BTW: Looked a bit like that redhead in the photo was about to kiss you better!!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
