    Which Kids Bike: CRF70 or KLX110 ?

    Hi all,

Anyone had experience with either (or both) of these 2 bikes? All I can work out from the spec sheets is that the KLX110 is very low-tuned and the CRF70 has a bigger tank.

#1 son now too big for CRF50, so next step is probably one of these 2. He's doing some MiniMX, but more trail rides, so I figure that rules out KTM's pocket rocketships.

Not bothered by colour, more by user experience and user-friendliness. He's only 6 (though tall for 6), so a bit early for clutch-jobs.

    TIA,

Easi pesi, its not really performance the young ones are after its all about size. Take him to Barry's Point Rd and get him to sit on a Honda from Cyclespot and a KLX110 from Spectrum M/Cycles 100mtrs up the road.
I suspose price may come in to it.

    What about Blue?

Both my boys cut their teeth on PW80's - indestructable little bikes it seems as they got thrashed/jumped/trailed and raced without any major issues.

Cheers for that Frosty, I'll have to clear a day at Woodhill for that (maybe a couple, just to make sure). Not sure a 2T is the way to go, but he looks like ending up in the MiniMX Trail class whatever... He's too tall for most 50s but no way am I committing to a KTM.

I picked the CRF70 cos he's got a 50 already, and the KLX cos it was the same price in an advert I saw - tho the ad was old and they're all now a load more in the shops. I figure the bikes are about the same in ability, but pit-bike-ability is not a issue for me.

    Cheers,
